The situation
My own concept: a docuseries that follows developmental golfers grinding for a tour card, built as a venture with a signed cast, credentialed producers and sponsors before any platform deal.
A format proven on famous players, a cast nobody knew, producers on a handshake, and one path to money that put the calendar in a gatekeeper's hands.
Proof no platform had to approve, then a way to sell what the venture controlled.
Sign the cast and the producers first, then pitch. When the platform path capped, change the money, not the show: sponsorship only, on golfer agreements that keep the in-show rights, the brand rights and a share of any card-earner's upside with the venture.
Eight golfers signed; Sugar23, Front Office Sports and Winterstone Pictures verbally on board; about $200,000 raised early, in cash, merchandise and materials, by our team; a few hundred thousand in sponsorships since late 2024. Nothing placed yet.
